Community Summer reading programs for everyone Summer reading programs for all ages

are under way at all four Chandler Public Libraries. The programs offer prize incentives to

encourage reading during the summer months and beyond. They can help parents prepare their children for a lifetime of reading. They help school-age children sustain or advance their reading skill levels during the long, slow summer break. And teenagers and adults can enjoy a variety of benefits from reading, while also modeling good learning habits for children.

‘Read, Play, Win!’ Children age 18 and younger can earn prizes by reading 50 pages or listening to a book being read for 15 minutes. As a special reading incentive, all children who start the program will receive a voucher for a ticket to an Arizona Diamondbacks’ game. Book logs for “Read, Play, Win!” are available at any Chandler Public Library, or online at www.summerreadingaz.org.

‘Cultivate Your Mind’ Teens ages 12-18 can also win exciting prizes by participating in the Chandler Public Library’s teen summer reading program. Prizes include a voucher for a free Chipotle burrito for all program finishers, and drawings for other prizes such as movie passes and gift cards. Four Kindle Fires will be raffled at the end of the teen program. Pick up your
