INNOVATIVE ANCHORING SOLUTIONS

country in the world, the company has built a reputation for reliability in the industry.

ENGINEERING

In addition to worldwide service and technical support, HYTORC has a designated CAD-design center which is available to provide 3D drawings of products and/or customised bolting solutions. These drawings can be integrated into the turbine

In one example, a custom fixture was designed to reduce assembly time for the shrink disc application. This application had previously taken up to nine hours, which slowed the manufacturing process for the entire turbine. HYTORC delivered a custom designed solution which reduced manufacturing time for the shrink disc to just one hour.

PRODUCTS

As the inventor of the first hydraulic wrench, HYTORC has been behind nearly every innovation in the bolting tool industry.

Their latest tooling includes the most innovative developments to improve safety and liability with the benefit of accurate bolt loads within 2%. This is achieved using the patented STRETCH-TO-LOAD Technology.

design/manufacturing process to allow manufacturers to reduce design time and minimize unknowns during the assembly process.

SAFETY EMPHASIS

With an emphasis on safety trained wind power specialists will facilitate communication between the turbine

Within the range of bolting solutions, they have special wind tooling which can be operated hands-free, giving maximum safety to the operator.

SUPPLY

Being the largest supplier of torque equipment in the world, they combine supply of tooling through their outlets

manufacturer and their design centre to optimise production processes and to help alleviate assembly line bottlenecks.

for hire and purchase. HYTORC’s UK facility has the largest quantity of available hire equipment with dedicated tool kits available on request for most wind turbine manufacturers.

One of the benefits of working with the largest and most respected tooling supplier is the flexibility within the company’s hire and purchase options. There are three ranges of tools to cover all applications. This, alongside their guarantee of customer satisfaction, is designed to provide high quality products with cost effective service solutions.

SERVICE

HYTORC has a number of service facilities in the UK and Ireland, and a dedicated service van available for on-site repairs and calibrations. All these facilities provide safety training programmes.

THE FUTURE

The emphasis on the future is to continue innovating products which are at the forefront of safety, quality and schedule in any bolting task. HYTORC remains enthusiastic to continue these improvements by working closely with customers.

NETA Training are one of only 5 approved training centres in the UK who can offer training in accordance with either ECITB or EAL (EMTA Award Ltd which is the Engineering and Marine Training Association) for Critical Bolting and would be happy to speak to any organisations who are concerned about how the forthcoming legislation may impact their business.

These skills will be key requirements for engineers and technicians working within the process and renewable energy sectors in the very near future.
