More Rec Events Listed The 17th Annual Downhill Race takes place June 3 (raindate June 10) as Branchburg youth ages 7-13 in their gravity-powered cars race down the hill on Baird Road. This is a great, free, family event with refreshments, DJ, games and activities. Racing starts at noon on Baird Road by the tennis courts at White Oak Park. Sponsors are the Branchburg Recreation Dept., the Municipal Alliance and the Branchburg Rotary Club. Call 526-1300 ext 187 for more info. More Recreation Events: Deep sea fluke fishing trips with Captain Art on the Eagle are July 13 and Aug. 10. Movie in the Park is July 21. Fam- ily Camp Out is July 21. Sign Up for Pioneer Basketball Camp

Pioneer Basketball Camp 2012 for boys and girls will be held at the Somerville High School gym beginning June 25.

Session 1 will be held June 25 - 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for boys and girls entering 3rd-10th Grade. Session 2 will be July 9 - 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for boys and girls entering 7th-12th Grade. Session 3 will be July 16 - 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for boys and girls entering 3rd-10th Grade. Camp Director is Joe D’Alessandro, SHS Head Boys Basketball Coach. Order Balloons for Grads by June 11

The Somerville High School PTO is once again offering “Bal- loons in June.” For $5, you can send a festive orange Ville balloon and note to a student graduating from Somerville High School. PTO members are taking orders now through June 11 and will deliver the balloons throughout Branch- burg and Somerville, attaching the balloons and notecards to gradu- ates’ mailboxes on June 21. Balloons can be sent in lieu of traditional graduation cards and are ideal for sons and daughters, neighbors, babysitters, athletes you’ve cheered on or coached, and any Ville senior who has touched your life.

Now in its eighth year, the fund- raiser supports Project Graduation, a big all-night graduation party (drug and alcohol free) hosted by the PTO at Rutgers University. Deadline to order is June 11. Reception for New Superintendent is June 10

On Sunday, June 10, from 2-4 pm in the BCMS Cafeteria, a re- ception will be held to welcome Dr. Carol Kelley as superintendent of the Branchburg Township Schools.
