Jannette Coco

Jannette Inez Coco grad- uated from Seton Hall Uni- versity, summa cum laude, with a masters of arts degree in special education on May 19. She has also received her teaching certification for both K-5 and special education, and was inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society for Educa- tion. A resident of Branch- burg since 1999, Jannette has worked as a substitute

Stephanie Maxwell-Pierson of Branchburg and crew member Anna Seaton have been inducted into the National Rowing Foun- dation 2012 U.S. National Row- ing Hall of Fame. They won the 1992 Olympic Bronze Medal in the Women’s Pairs Without Cox- swain (W2-) rowing event.

Alex Karlis of Branchburg, senior mid-fielder at Somerville High School, will continue his lacrosse career at Plattsburgh State University (State Universi- ty of New York - Plattsburgh) in the fall. The Cardinals compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SU- NYAC) and have just completed the regular season with an 11-6 record, advancing to the SUNY- AC Semifinals.

Karen Perlman of Branch- burg won the women’s overall title at the Friends of Art Ander- son 5k on April 22 at Duke Is- land Park with a time of 19:48. The race raised awareness for ALS (Lou Gerig’s disease) as well as support for Art An- derson who is diagnosed with ALS. Karen’s mother passed away from ALS in 1998.

Jennifer L’Altrelli, daugh- ter of Anthony and Cheryl L’Altrelli of Branchburg, graduated with her Masters of Arts Degree in Special Educa- tion from Rider University on May 10. Jennifer also attended Rider University for her un- dergraduate degree which she graduated Cum Laude in May 2009. She received her Bach- elor of Arts Degree as a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology with a minor in Dance.
