“Revolutionaries’ Reinterpretation of U.S. Law”. (For fun Arpaio would appreciate, go ahead and give him an infl ated head, but under fairness doctrine, depict Obama’s head, in the passenger seat, as an infl ated megalomaniac bobble-head with a Kenyan fl ag on his cap, Indonesian fl ag shoulder patch and Putin and Biden in the driver seat). If the Feds are Goliath, Sheriff Joe is David. David will soon teach Goliath he [not He] cannot mock the law, Arizonans’ will, nor God, from whom inalienable rights derive.

Opportunities head north on

303 Editor: West Valley View’s June 2011, “City Council prioritizes Goodyear’s 5 year Vision,” states, “ ...creating a sense of place, economic development as a priority area and maintain a strong quality of life for residents.” Can you share your perception of what a strong quality of life means for Goodyear residents? We no longer have a city center but now we are looking for a “hub,” according to city council. Please do not mention our ball park, it is beautiful, but not everyone is into baseball and uses are limited. I fi nd it disheartening when our mayor thinks it is a good thing to renew a contract to store a city library for a population of 65,000 residents in a room tucked away in a city building. Every progressive city has a library even those with a population of 1,000! A library building structure is a strong

refl ection of city’s dedication to its community. Goodyear needs to build a library, not store one in a room and anticipates it remaining there in the future. With every passing season, Goodyear has missed the boat and lost tax revenue as residents fl ock to nearby cities to shop. We have a highway expansion that leads to piles of dirt, not to mention Goodyear’s air quality suffering because of it. Why get off? No need to, just continue on our new 303 ramp up to Surprise, they have already begun industry and retail before the bypass is completed! A smart and economic move and with the challenging economy, you made things work for you. Surprise has demonstrated that they can be a progressive city for an isolated town in the West Valley. Congratulations to you Surprise more growth and development will be traveling your way as Goodyear residents thirst for community development.

Selfi sh class

rules system Editor:

The article both parties have bad apples by Tom Moore raised some interesting points. Where do those bad apples come from?

The system has wonder off track and has the misfortune of being ruled by an elite “selfi sh class” that knows no party boundaries. For example, the current economic catastrophe is a result from inept politicians and career bureaucrats, that never seem to die off, now want to raid the people their retirement money. Warning, the Obama

administration can see that the ship is sinking from an estimated U.S. budget defi cit of some $1.35 trillion from this year alone. There is about $3.6 trillion sitting in U.S. retirement plans, including

401(k) plans. The solution from Washington embezzlers will be to borrow or rob the people of their retirement money before they even realize that their money is gone. To paraphrase the quote from John Dalberg-Action, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Therefore, anyone entering into politics will certainly become corrupt as absolute power corrupts even the best natures. The trouble with the people we have become confused by mere differences in opinions of left and right thought process leaving them in a malaise.

Really think Obamacare is the best healthcare system for the US? Those endorsing Obamacare simply don’t understand what it will do to the American Healthcare system. The issue isn’t about Liberal

Left versus Conservative Right. It’s about the government taking over the US Healthcare system! The government has NO Constitutional authority to take over the US Healthcare system nor is it capable of running it. Socialized/National Healthcare, which is what Obamacare is, has never worked in any country where it has been tried! Once bureaucrats take over the healthcare system, the emphasis is placed on the cost of care provided, rather than patient care. The result is that a country’s Healthcare system’s quality of care drastically degrades. Do you really want a bureaucrat telling you what healthcare you can or cannot receive based on your age and/or the cost of the needed healthcare?

Obamacare will not decrease healthcare costs! It will, and in fact currently is, increasing healthcare costs through unnecessary new regulations and reporting requirements. In the Valley several medical practices have already closed or allowed themselves to be purchased by a hospital because of the mandates/regulations of Obamacare making it more costly to operate a medical practice.

Those that think healthcare insurance should be more affordable, pool your money with other like minded individuals and start a not for profi t healthcare insurance company, that will provide, what you think is affordable healthcare insurance. Keep the US healthcare system in the private sector and let it correct problems with it. Allow insurance companies to operate nation wide and implement tort reform to reduce the costs of frivolous law suites. Still want to live in a country with a Socialized/Nationalized Healthcare system? Then move to Canada, England, etc. and enjoy the Socialized/National healthcare system there.
