The Eco Fridge According to Fiona Morris, B. Industrial Design (Hons), UWS, society in general has not thought about refrigerators in a logical, analytical and environmental way since the 1930s. Back then power consumption was encouraged, the housewife wanted hygiene and modernity, and a little later the refrigerator also indicated social standing and abundance.
Vinnies CEO sleep-out His name is Malley. He said that he has no home, income, identification, or even shoes. What touched me was that he just wanted to be like everyone else. I told him that it is possible and that life involves a series of choices we make every day.
The purpose of life On a day you were bursting with happiness, did you ever ask yourself what the purpose of life is? Only when life gets a little sedate and little depressing you ask, “What is the purpose of this damn life?” I want you to understand that this question has risen only in the miserable minds on the planet.
We are loved and taken care of Live your life as if you are loved and taken care of – and see what happens. Keep reminding yourself, because it will not appear to be true to start with. The habits embedded within our very DNA are so deep that our experiences seem to confirm another paradigm.
Enlightenment ain’t what it’s cracked up to be – book review When our daydreams about the attainment of some spiritual nirvana are smashed, what then? There is a well-known Sufi tale about a man who searched far and wide for treasure only to discover, after eventually giving up what he had decided was a hopeless search and returning home, that the gold was in fact buried under his own hearth.
The power of sound There is an increasing body of evidence-based research now available, making it difficult to deny the influence that music, and sound generally, has on our physiology, in particular that of the mind. In addition to this, increasing numbers of us are recognising the importance our emotions have on our physical health and immunity.
Women’s business and men’s business with the Elders They spoke beauty with ancient Nyoongar language, bidding the bad spirits (the Warra) to leave us and the Old People to protect us, our men, our protectors, our support and our balance… and as a group we healed as the Balga resin and gum leaves smoked on the fire. I changed that day… we all changed that day…
Braided Raym’s client is looking to recall her past life skills expecting a beautiful experience. She gets far more than she bargained for and has difficulty coming to terms with who she has been.
The Living Universe: Where Are We? Who Are We? Where Are We Going? – book review Those of us who have learned a little about quantum physics are by now familiar with the holarchic nature of the material universe: the giant set of Russian dolls that goes from electrons to atoms to molecules, to organs to organisms to ecosystems to the planet to the solar system to the galaxy. All are simultaneously parts and wholes, from the greatest to the smallest.
Black & White We interview under 30s for their take on life, and we hope their stories will inspire you. Contrasts and paradoxes are part and parcel of life – which therefore seems quite black and white at times. This month we speak with Jessica Nazarali.
Natural beauty This month Madonna cautions us against using old makeup past its expiry date.
Courses & Workshops feature Seven pages detailing training, long and short, for you to consider to enhance your journey and perhaps give you and your family a new lease of life. An interesting read and hopefully something to inspire you to act as well.

WA Calendar and Directory 28 Stargazer This month the sun eclipses Venus, then the moon eclipses the sun, then the earth’s shadow eclipses the moon and finally Venus eclipses the sun. Who will win? The rational mind (sun), the open heart (Venus) or the gut instinct (moon)? These players are equally powerful – we need to get them working as a team!
