erts Mind Network (HMN) is a mental health organisation providing a range of


recovery orientated services from Wellbeing Centres in Watford, Hemel Hempstead, South Oxhey, Borehamwood, Ware, Bishops Stortford and Waltham Cross. It aims to create opportunities for people to


make choices, find their own solutions, build resilience and manage their whole life and well- being. HMN provides education, health, leisure, and


self-supporting groups across the network. These include art, craft, gardening, IT, music, pottery, walking and women only and carers groups. Also available are courses to improve personal development, including confidence building, anxiety management, and anger management. Counselling for adults wanting to talk through

difficult issues and manage distress can be arranged. Appointments are for approximately 50 minutes and delivered by trained and experienced counsellors. HMN offers a vocational advice service


supporting people to gain and retain employment. The service has high rates of


success supporting individuals to access paid employment as well as educational, work experience and volunteering opportunities Volunteers are recruited and trained and


provide support both one-to-on as peer mentors and in groups and courses. Volunteers also support the administration of the organisation. Supporting someone you care about can take a


toll on mental health. The network‘s carers‘ support groups offer time


out from the caring role; opportunities to share experience and information, learn new skills and meet other carers. To access HMN‘s services people can self-refer,


be referred by GP, mental health team or via other professionals. HMN will arrange a convenient time for individuals to meet with a staff member. This appointment enables people to discuss how HMN can provide support through its services. For more details telephone 08444
