A

bbots Langley has a new police chief – a detective inspector who has been with

Hertfordshire Constabulary for 18 years. During his career, DI Robin Winder spent two

years as Neighbourhood Sergeant in Three Rivers, and was subsequently promoted to Intervention Inspector for Watford and Three Rivers, leading the constabulary‘s response to 999 calls in the area. He joins the team having spent the past five

years as a detective inspector on a tactical team covering the western side of the county and more recently he was responsible for the local crime unit in Welwyn Hatfield. DI Winder said: ―Having spent a number of

years working in Three Rivers previously, I was excited to return to the area, particularly in the role of Neighbourhood Inspector. Neighbourhood policing is all about responding to the needs of our communities, ensuring they are safe and feel safe.‖ He will be replacing Inspector George Holland

who moved to the role of Neighbourhood Inspector for Dacorum.

Neighbourhood Inspector DI Robin Winder. DI Winder added: ―Three Rivers is a very safe

district which enjoys low levels of crime per population. ―I‘ll be working to keep it this way and build on

the good work carried out by George and the rest of the team here. ―We work very close to Three Rivers District

Council, and being in the same building fosters this relationship. ―We‘re both clear on our aim to ensure the

people of Three Rivers are safe and low levels of crime are maintained.‖
