Rob Hefferan’s enduring love of photography and film has influenced his work for many years,


and in this new collection cinema has had a major role to play in the setting and atmosphere. Rob explains: “I am a great admirer of the director Ridley Scott, particularly for his wonderful use of panoramic narrative shots. These are so lovingly created that to my mind, every still becomes a work of art in its own right. Their style inspired me to experiment with my own work, by including a wealth of minute detail to draw the viewer into the scene, not simply as an observer, but in the more intimate role of participant, which is of course what a great film can achieve.”
