Canvas Edition of 95 Size 22”x 15” FRAMED £725

2012 marks 60 years

since Rolf Harris set foot on British soil and began his rise from young Aussie hopeful to the

UK’s best loved and best selling published artist, a CBE, and – announced this May - recipient of the coveted BAFTA Fellowship award.

Rolf’s life has been punctuated by an extraordinary series of achievements, adventures and accolades and 2012 has simply continued this trend. This summer sees the publication of a superb collection of Limited Editions featuring London alongside a magnificent new fine art book ‘A Portrait of London’, a major public retrospective at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool, and the news of a BAFTA Fellowship to be presented in the summer. Quite a year – and we’re only six months in. ‘A Portrait of London’ is a monumental achievement; the collection

incorporates nine atmospheric limited editions and a beautiful hardback book that brings together every London painting Rolf has created over the last 60 years. Rolf describes the book as a record of his loving relationship with the city. “I fell in love with this exciting and cosmopolitan city when I first came here at the age of 22, and over the years this love has grown. It wasn’t the architecture, the heritage or the culture that captivated me, although these are all wonderful things, it was the sheer character of the place - AND of course, of the characters! It is the everyday sights that bring this great and colourful city to life - the sights that I’ve been attempting to capture in paint for over sixty years.”
