In April the group ran a stall in Tavistock, publicising the proposed replacement for


nuclear submarines. Many passers-by took postcards to send to their MPs, protesting about this hugely ex- pensive project and its undermining of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. They stated that the money should be spent instead on health and education.


In early May we held a vigil to mark the deaths in the Afghanistan conflict.


40,000 Afghan civilians have been killed and the UK has lost over 400 soldiers. The financial cost to this country has been put at £12 million each day.
