THE 14th Teignmouth Folk Festival takes place over the weekend of June 22 to 24 with a fabulous line up of singers and musicians plus lots of traditional dance displays from local and visiting Morris, Border, North West Clog and Appalachian teams. The festival is pleased to welcome back The City of Plymouth Pipe Band on the Saturday morning who will be processing from East Cliff Cafe to the Triangle for the official opening. The Teign Music Stage at the
Triangle is the main venue on Saturday and Sunday for free entertainment and the main band on Saturday afternoon is Unstrung Heroes and on Sunday afternoon local band The Kirkwood Brown Trio.

The Carlton Theatre is the main concert venue and our opening concert on Friday night features Ben Campbell, a fine traditional singer from the North East now living in Plymouth. Steve Turner, a virtuoso concertina player and singer and the headline act Kimber’s Men who are one of the top Shanty groups in the country. The Saturday night concert features local four-piece band Blue Jewel fronted by Steve Banks who is also part of the famous Carnival Band and the trio Chanter. The headline act on Saturday night is Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman who are recognised as one of the top duos on the folk scene.
