Rotary Club of Teignmouth


TEIGNMOUTH Rotary Club has been around since 1926 and is a well established club. There are twenty nine members and five Honorary members attending the weekly meetings and that are lively and full of fun. There is a high duty of commitment to the object of Rotary which drives support in the local community and at national and international levels. Rotarian visiting Teignmouth? Please take the opportunity to join us for one of our Wednesday meetings at the Cockhaven Manor Hotel, Cockhaven Lane, Bishopsteignton TQ14 9RF. The first meeting of the month is at 6.30pm for 7pm, and on all other Wednesdays at 12.30pm for 1pm. Do come along; telephone the Secretary on 01626 872648 and let us know you are coming.


Events are organised throughout the year as the means of raising funds for the many local and international projects we support. This year the calendar includes the Annual Charity Golf Day at Teignmouth Golf Club on June 8 in aid of Torbay Prostate Cancer Research and Force Cancer Charity, and Picnic in the Marquee at Trinity School on 8th June. Look out for details in the local press and on our website www.teignmouth.rotary1170.org.


Christmas collections are held during the week preceding Christmas in Bank Street to help local charities. Charities supported this year: Dame Hannah Rogers Trust, Alice Cross Centre, Teignmouth Shopmobility, TS Cannonteign, Children’s Hospice, Devon Air Ambulance and the Helen Foundation.

South East Devon Community Raffle


Organised by the Rotary Clubs of Teignmouth, Dawlish Water, Honiton, Otter Valley, Sidmouth, Axminster and Chudleigh & Bovey Tracey.

Rotary is organising another ‘Super Raffle’ to help small local groups and organisations raise funds for themselves, without having the problems associated with administration. Rotary has organised the licence, prizes, ticket printing and all the administrative details, so that groups taking part have only to sell tickets to raise their funds. last year 100 groups in south east Devon raised more than £32,000.
