Our commitment to you

Our technical support and variety selection

Above all, Elsoms stands for first class varieties. We work closely with ourmain suppliers:market leaders Bejo Zaden as well as Holland Select and Gautier Semences. We have developed our own plant breeding programme, particularly for parsnips and swede, and we run joint breeding programmes with Bejo for Brussels sprouts and purple sprouting broccoli. Our variety trials span a huge range of crops atmany UK locations. We use the data they generate to supply you with up-to-date advice and information that will help you choose the best variety for your needs.

Our delivery and service

Our fully computerised stock systemhelps us allocate your order quickly and accurately. We send out over 7,000 parcels a year to our UK customers, and over 95% of our ‘Next Day’ deliveries arrive on time.

Getting the best from your Elsoms seeds

Store all seeds in a dry, cool and stable environment, preferably at around 10-15ºC, unless otherwise indicated. Our primed seed has a ‘shelf life’ of around 6months before seeds revert back to their normal germination speed; sow primed seed as soon as you can.

Keep seeds out of direct sunlight and extremes of temperature. For example, the boot of your car can easily reach over 45ºC on bright, sunny days! In fact, we’d advise you to have your Elsoms seeds delivered as close as possible to the date you want to use them.

GM CROPS

We do not offer any vegetable varieties bred by geneticmodification; we are happy to supply you with a statement to this effect, if required, for your crop assurance protocol.
