CHRIS BACK lives and works in the village of Moretonhampstead on the edge


of Dartmoor. After a career change and return to college to study furniture making he now makes freestanding furniture and wooden crafts from his small home


workshop. He either works to his own design or will


develop ideas with clients. Chris starts his design process with the wood. He aims to bring out the character of the wood to produce pieces that are individual, durable and beautiful. He uses carefully sourced or reclaimed hardwoods from managed forests and also soft wood.
