Andrea will be graduating with an associate degree in organizational management and plans to transfer to Northern Arizona University. Preston and Aaron will both be

receiving their associate degrees in business and have plans to graduate from Arizona State University with bachelor’s degrees in business in 2013. Preston cites his family’s encouragement and value on education for part of his success. “Our parents always really motivated

us. They taught us to work hard and be the best that we could be and they were always there to give us a lot of support. They both encouraged us to work hard with our education,” he said.

Buckeye police seek

man for questioning View report

No crime was committed, but Buckeye police are concerned about what they describe as “suspicious activity” by a man who approached two juveniles. Officers would

like to identify the man and speak to him about his behavior, said Detective Joseph Preston, a police spokesman. He also released a composite sketch of the person of interest.

The incident took place about 7:45 a.m. May 7

in the 500 block of South Watson Road in Buckeye, near the Sundance Towne Center shopping mall, Preston said. The man, who was behind the wheel of a blue four-door Dodge Ram pickup truck, approached the juveniles. “The unknown male offered a ride to one

juvenile so he would not have to ride his bike while carrying his drink to school,” Preston said. “He followed the two juveniles a short distance, then left the area.” The man was described as white, with light brown hair, a sun tan and a medium build, Preston said. He was about 30 to 40 years old, nearly 6 feet tall, and was wearing a blue uniform work coat with matching pants. To offer information, contact the Buckeye police tip line at 623-693-4511.

Correction Goodyear picks up bulk trash

An error was made in the story “Goodyear to reduce bulk-trash pickups” in the May 4 edition of the View. Bulk trash is picked up by the city, not by Waste Management. The city has a contract with Waste Management only for trash and recycling collection. The View regrets the error.
