his fateful journey to the New World? If this was the case then there surely would be evidence left behind that could establish that fact. This is exactly the subject that a new History Channel show debuting next fall will examine. One of the show’s contributors and best selling author

David S. Brody came to Pulpit Rock Lodge in Pelham to share his thoughts on the topic. Pelham’s Pulpit Rock Masonic Lodge 103 opened its doors on May 4 to the public to hear Brody present his evidence that as early as the 1300s European settlers sailed across the Atlantic and left artifacts right here in New England. David Brody, a lawyer by trade, began writing his third novel that was supposed to be a legal thriller when he began to look into a stone carving known as the Westford Knight. As the evidence of potential exploration in the New World prior to 1492 became more compelling, the subject matter

of his book, The Cabal of the Westford Knight, became the subject of his new passion, templar artifacts in America. David, now the author of two books that are substantiated with scientifi c evidence of Templar artifacts predating the 15th century in America, is

now teaming up with forensic stone scientist Scott Walter on a show for the History Channel that is destined to shatter the conventional wisdom of the European discovery of the New World. The event was attended by lawmakers, educators, dentists, businessmen, Masons and non-Masons alike including the MW Grand Master of the state of New Hampshire, Paul Leary. One attendee that was skeptical of the subject matter later stated, “The scientifi c evidence of his [Davis Brody’s] archeological fi nds is quite compelling.” This captivating evening left both, skeptic and supporter, with a little more to think about on the discovery of America than before they arrived. The Masons are the world’s oldest and largest

fraternal organization with a presence in almost every country. Today Masons strive, like those of the past, to be pillars of their communities and

improve the lives of all of those around them. Our Nation has a strong connection to Freemasonry with many of our founding fathers having been Masons. The most notable include George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere. The Pulpit Rock Lodge continues this tradition by supporting the local community with events and fundraisers. The Brothers of Pulpit Rock Lodge extend an open invitation to the members of the community to an open breakfast on the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 10:30 a.m. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to see a little of what Masonry is all about and also provides an excellent, affordable breakfast right in your own community. In addition, all proceeds go towards a scholarship for a deserving Pelham High School graduate.

Windham Doesn’t Want to Buy Delahunty Property

by Barbara O’Brien Windham Selectmen agreed unanimously (5 to 0) that they don’t want to make an offer on the State owned property currently home to Delahunty’s Nursery at 41 Range Road (Route 111) in Windham. The State had acquired the property as part of the road reconstruction project involving Route 111, but now has no need to retain it any longer. According to Windham Town Administrator David Sullivan, the State Department of Transportation (DOT) is asking $1.125 million for the property. Businesses located on this property have been leasing it from the State for the past few years. Selectmen made their decision during their board meeting on May 1, saying, “Thanks for the

offer, but no thanks!” As part of the State’s taking of the property, it was agreed that the Town of Windham would be given the fi rst right of refusal on any future sale. Selectmen said they would rather that the property be placed on the open market, where it could be sold for the best possible price and, subsequently, put back on the town’s tax rolls. Attempts to contact Jay Yennaco, the owner of Delahunty’s Nursery and Florist were unsuccessful. However, several people attending the selectmen’s meeting on May 7 said that they had been told that Yennaco plans to make a bid on the property and hopes to remain at his present location. In the meantime, Delahunty’s remains open for business, as usual.

accommodating Flynn has been in allowing students to use the facilities at the country club. “We are very fortunate to be able to use such a topnotch facility,” Raycraft said.
