production and use at the time of judging, which is the 15 May, all packs must be relatively new to the market – January 2011 to the present date, and all packs must have a connection with the UK – either designed, conceived, manufactured, sold or filled in this country.
HOW DO I ENTER THE AWARDS AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? If you decide to enter, you first
need to decide on your entry name. Remember if you are a winner, your pack will be promoted by your chosen name. You also need to make sure you have sought permission from the brand owner if you are not the owner yourself. Also, ensure you know the name of the manufacturer, designer and brand owner, and prepare your justification in advance. Then enter online at
www.starpack.uk.com.
GETTING THE BEST OUT OF YOUR ENTRY To make sure your entry is the best it can be, use your 30 word introduction as to why your pack is a winner wisely and make it stand out from the crowd. A good justification is a must, and stick to salient points. Most importantly, get your message across! Also, ensure all entries are marked with the entry number.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH JUDGING? Judging the entries will be an independent panel of packaging experts encompassing the different facets of the packaging industry. The Starpack Awards are all about rewarding excellence and are not judged against each other but considered on their own merit.
