Participation in the 5th Annual Charity
Golf Tournament, taking place Sat., May 12 at Western Skies Golf Club in Gilbert, helps ensure About Care’s mission to keep residents independent in their own homes and living with self-respect and dignity. The tournament, with its
accompanying auction and raffle, is About Care’s major fundraising event. About Care uses the proceeds to support the homebound, elderly and disabled in Chandler and Gilbert with transportation, shopping, errands and respite care at no cost. A foursome plays for $300 and an individual for only $75. Sponsorships are still available for this event. Neighbors Get ‘fit’ for golf Now through May 31, Perfect Fit is
offering a two-hour fitting for $125 plus tax that also includes a $125 credit for club purchase and a Raven Golf Club – Phoenix City Card. A two-hour fitting service alone normally costs $225. The new Perfect Fit club fitting service
uses an outdoor facility that allows staff to evaluate the golfer’s ball flight as well as data from a Foresight GC2 Smart Camera System to determine the best equipment for that golfer’s swing. The Raven Golf Club – Phoenix

Benefit the Hamilton High’s football
program by participating in the 10th Annual Hamilton Huskies Gridiron Golf Classic on Sat., May 19 at Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. with a
shotgun scramble start at 1:30 p.m., followed by dinner, awards, raffle and live auction at 5:30 p.m. Prizes are awarded to the top three and bottom three teams, with additional prizes for special holes and vehicle prizes for hole- in-ones. The cost is $100 per player or $400
per foursome, which includes range balls, greens fees, golf cart, awards
Empower healing potential A cancer diagnosis can be challenging
for patients and caregivers, so Banner Desert Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society’s I Can Cope program invites those dealing with cancer to experience a Pathway to Wellness. Free monthly sessions take place 4
to 5:30 p.m. May 14 through18 and June 11 through15 in the Rosati Education Center’s Aspen B Conference Room at Banner Desert Cancer Center, 1400 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa. A series of activities, led by health
care experts, can help activate the body’s healing potential. All activities are energizing and ideal for family members as well as caregivers. There
is no cost to attend. Activities include yoga and relaxation, Mondays; Tai Chi and managing sleep difficulties, Tuesdays; living well with cancer, and massage, Wednesdays; understanding cancer treatment, and nutrition, Thursdays; and My Journey Jewelry Project, Fridays. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration

lead speech-language pathologist in outpatient therapy from Banner Desert Medical Center, will speak at the Sun Lakes Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting set for 1 p.m. Thu., May 17, in the
Mirror Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 Sun Lakes Blvd. Camacho is certified in the LSVT Loud and VitalStim programs. The LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) program provides treatment of dysarthria and dysphonia associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
Camacho served on the Parkinson’s
