RESIDENTS AT VAO GET MUSICAL TREAT
Learn how heart attacks might be
prevented through coronary calcium scoring during a free seminar presented by Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert medical centers, Tue., May 22 and Wed., May 23. Jeffrey J. Fine, M.S., Ph.D., a nationally
recognized expert in the field of coronary artery disease, heart attack prevention and coronary calcium scoring, will discuss this unique preventative method. His clinically based coronary calcium scoring training program has been implemented internationally, improving outcomes for tens of thousands of patients worldwide.

LICORICE STICKS: A group of clarinetists entertained residents at the Village at Ocotillo senior living community in Southern Chandler recently. VAO Activity Director and Chandler resident Brenda Gill arranged for the King of Glory Clarinet Choir, led by Music Director Cyndee Chaffee, to perform a variety of tunes that included the Clarinet Polka, patriotic and motion picture songs and others. Dick Cirillo of the choir helped show off colored clarinets with Chaffee. Renowned banjoist plays at San Marcos
World-class banjoist Cynthia Sayer joins the Arizona Classic Jazz Party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., May 20 at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort at 1 N. San Marcos Pl. in downtown Chandler. Sayer has played in New York City’s Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, for two U.S. presidents and with the New York Philharmonic. She also served
