Latchum Music and Sound’s 11th Music Recital Tuesday night, May 8 at Timberlake Baptist Church, 356 Lind- hurst Drive, Danville, Va. The recital begins at 7 pm and will feature the musical talents of over 40 enthusiastic violinists, violists, and cellists who study with Leigh Latchum, concert master of the Danville Symphony Orchestra. The recital will move swiftly beginning with the youngest of students, ages 5-7 and continuing up through the adult levels. Dr. Krista Shinew, Director of Music at Moffett Memorial Baptist Church will serve as acccompanist. The concert is free to the public.

Saturday, May 19th, the volleyball teams at Westover Christian Academy will be hosting a multiple family yard sale at the school. We have so much to sell – clothes, household items, toys, books, movies, tools, televisions, furniture, etc. Some special items we have – lawn mower, washer and dryer, chain saws, gas grill, hunting gear, and mounted deer head. There will also be baked goods for sale. We will be ready for business at 6:00 am! All proceeds will be used to buy new uniforms for the teams. If the weather is not good, we will be set up in the gym.
