'Arsenic and Old Lace'


After the successes of 'Blithe Spirit', 'An Inspector calls' the NODA award winning 'A Murder is Announced', 'Private Lives' and last years sell out production of 'The Hollow' the Keyworth Players are presenting 'Arsenic and Old Lace' at Trimley St Martin Memorial hall :- 23rd June to 30th June commencing at 7:15pm.


The cast includes local favourites:- Sandra Angell, Colin Bennett, Mike Cook, Mick Farrow, Chris Fryer, Tony Lewis, Julie Locke, Andrew Miller, Scott Mitton, John Payne, Alex Peters, Richard Rumbellow & Neil Saint


'Arsenic and Old Lace' Mortimer Brewster is a newspaper man and author, during a visit home to see his two dear Maiden Aunts he finds out that his Aunts' hobby involves doing a kindness for lonely sad old Gentlemen, ensuring that the Gentlemen don't have to be sad and lonely any more !!.


The plot involves a cellar full of dead bodies and various members of the family, who nearly all, by varying degrees share a unique eccentricity, this makes for some hilarious antics. This wonderfully funny play is a classis of it's time and has been enjoyed by countless millions over the years both on stage and in the film which starred Cary Grant.

Why not come along and find out more about the Association - you will be made very welcome and the evening finishes with refreshments, a raffle and a quiz with stupendous prizes!


Currently we are organising our annu- al summer fete, in conjunction with The Firs care home on 25 August from 12 noon to 4pm. Many sideshows, children's entertainment, dog show, Birds of Prey, Juggler, BBQ,


Bouncy Castle, a Grand Raffle etc. We are currently trying to obtain sponsor- ship for many of the events, this will help keep the costs of the children's rides etc very low, we are mindful of the current economic climate and many of our members are on low incomes. ABLE FELIXSTOWE will be there with information about the regeneration of The Leydens in Langley Avenue into a community meeting place. Please get in touch if you are willing to sponsor any events or you wish to have a stall (which is £7 a pitch).


Membership of the Association is £2 per household paid annually in September. The committee would love to see more people get involved and be part of the community and if you would liket more information please phone me on 01394 271001 or email lisgoddard123@yahoo.co.uk
