Chair-based Exercise Classes
Chair-based exercise classes take place at the Old Felixstowe Community Centre on Friday afternoons. The classes are suitable for seniors and those wanting a gentle intro- duction into exercise.
During each we will boost circulation, improve mobility, increase strength, gently stretch and finish with relax- ation. I am pleased to say there has also been great progress made by our class participants with postural con-
trol and body awareness. The classes last for one hour and are run on a pay-on-the-day basis. To register and for further details please phone Julia Drewell on 01473 620511

Gainsborough Club News In April Peter Webb gave us an hilari- ous account of how he plus wife left their town life and and embraced The Good Life, after buying a six and a half acre property in Essex. Partnership and a sense of humour were very necessary as they struggled (along with many other tasks) to reno- vate a house, rear sheep and turkeys, hew twelve foot hedges and plant a thousand trees.
At our next meeting on Tuesday 1st of May at 7.30 p.m. in St Felix Church Hall, Gainsborough Road, a well known local actor, Phil Cory, will be organising a Murder Mystery evening. Audience participation is promised so why not join us. For details phone Dianne

Felixstowe Morning WI At our 20th birthday meeting in April, Canon John Ely gave us an hilarious account of his childhood in Norfolk and Suffolk, before working as an electrician at Sadler's Wells and an operating assistant in Bury Hospital. He was ordained in Sherborne Abbey where he produced the Sherborne Abbey Cook Book before finding fame as the Cooking Canon on Pebble Mill at One.
At 10.00am on Thursday, 10th May in
Old Felixstowe Community Centre, Barbara Shaw will let us into the secrets of hand-made chocolates.

Colneis Flower Club What a delightful evening we had when Linda Harman from Ipswich demonstrated for us with the theme 'Inside Out'. Her use of unusual con- tainers (mostly ones normally used outside in the garden - hence her title), and garden material such as contorted hazel stems, fatshedera, sil- ver birch twigs and dogwood stems provided instant impact enhanced with beautiful spring flowers, roses, gerbera and carnations. Linda also shared some good ideas on making your own containers and a wigwam pedestal made from garden canes. Once again, by the end of the evening our stage was full of lovely colour which you can see for yourself by going onto our web site,
www.colneis-
flowerclub.org.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday 17 May at 7.30pm in the Old Felixstowe Community Centre, IP11 9NB when Shirley Perkins from Leigh- on-Sea will be demonstrating with the theme 'Pairs'. The practice piece will be 'Gemini - A Two Placement Design'. I do hope you will be able to join us for another fun evening with friends, enjoy some refreshments and per- haps win something in the raffle. We look forward to welcoming you.
