Suffolk Circle is coming to Felixstowe!
Suffolk Circle is an exciting member- ship organisation for people over 50 and is expanding into Felixstowe. Members benefit in two ways - Suffolk Circle offers a monthly calendar of social events and also help with jobs through our network of Helpers. So members of Suffolk Circle win in two ways - they have a varied and exciting social life with plenty of opportunities to connect with other members and maybe learn something new. And there is also the possibility of getting jobs done - our Helpers have tidied gardens, put up curtain rails, put stuff up in the loft and helped one 84 year old mem- ber learn to use Skype so she can be in touch with her grandchildren in Australia!
Helpers are local members who, like us all, have skills that have been learned through life or work. Using these skills to help other members get things done earns tokens which in turn can be used to access the social events. Being a Helper means you can continue to use skills you enjoy and share these with other local people. Give as much or as little time as you want to. Choose when you want to help out and what you want to help out with. We are looking for Helpers with experience of garden- ing, DIY, computers and technology etc.
Our Helpers tell us they really enjoy
meeting other local people, and shar- ing their time and skills, so now the days are getting longer and Spring is in the air come on out and have some fun or give us a hand! For further informa- tion please call us on 0800 112 3446 or visit

The project provides a unique opportunity for brass band musicians, and conductors of all ages and abilities, to link up and participate in a huge relay race involving 5 conductor's batons and a unique new music commission from Paul Lovatt- Cooper entitled "Going The Distance". This will be an exciting addition to our concert programme. The Band Summer Fayre is on Saturday 23rd June at St Michael's Church Centre, Martlesham Heath. It starts at 1.00pm, there will be a BBQ and cake stall and
the Grand Draw first prize is £100!
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previ- ously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
