For a long weekend packed full of delicious food and drink, family fun and Jubilee cheer, look no further than the Dartington Food Fair this June Bank Holiday.


Taking place on the beautiful Dartington Estate, the festivities include stalls from over 50 South West producers, a cookery theatre with chef demonstrations promoting the best local talent, the Devon Cider bar, as well as a whole host of activities and entertainment for children and adults. Join in the fun with our Diamond Jubilee celebrations and make a date in your diary for this fabulous foodie event. The ‘In Toto’ cookery theatre will have top regional chefs


performing throughout the festival, including award-winning Mitch Tonks, who’ll be cooking up a storm and showing off his remarkable skills. Mitch and his team will also be heading up a fish BBQ on the Sunday. Other top chefs performing mouth-watering demos include

South West Chef of the Year Tom Skaide, Stuart Downie (South Sands Boutique Hotel and Restaurant), and Darrin Hosegrove (Ashburton Cookery School). Also confirmed is wine expert Susy Atkins (Saturday Kitchen, Sunday Telegraph). A feast of delicious local produce is waiting to be discovered at the Food Fair from award winning pies to preserves to ice cream, Brimblecombe Cider, plus real ales from Hunters Brewery and Bays Brewery. Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be a big part of the event with a ‘Bake a cake for a Queen’ competition and a 1950s focus on Tuesday. Entertainment over the weekend includes live music every day. There’s also a dedicated children’s area. Activities include fire juggling shows, clay pot making,

face painting, animal petting and a special visit from Cosmo the Clown. For the more adventurous, there will be bookable sessions of abseiling, archery and mountain bike riding from Dynamic Adventures. There are also hands-on family cooking activities so visitors can create their own pizza or decorate cupcakes and new for this year is the craft marquee showcasing the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.

Whilst at the Food Fair you also explore our unique selection of shops, from Dartington glass and pottery, Fashion, Toys, Gifts and Stationery. Or stroll up through the estate and visit the medieval Dartington Hall, the White Hart Bar and Restaurant and enjoy the delights of the spectacular gardens. Dartington Food Fair is open 10am - 6pm on Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June and 10am - 5pm on Tuesday 5th June. The daily entrance fee is £4 for adults (no charge for children under 12) and on-site parking is free.
