SOS EAST BLOC ROCKED

OUT WITH THE SOS CREW IN MID-APRIL…

The SOS crew returned to East Bloc in Old Street on 21 April, throwing a particularly patriotic bash. The reason? The event coincided with the Queen’s birthday and St George’s Day! The night featured a cast of… well, if not thousands then certainly hundreds. They came not only to dance until the early hours, but also because the event acted as a fundraiser for Shed Radio – launched by the same team behind the Shed after-parties in the East End. Guesting in the main room was Joe Robots and Dietrich In France, who spun the house, tech and acid alongside residents Warboy and Andy Blake. For some lighter relief, ruling over the smaller room with pop, electro and ‘tranny-mash’ were Scottee, Holestar and Jonathan Bestley. For added entertainment, fundraising performances came from Jonny Woo and Chrissy Darling, with turns from Bruno Basso, Squeaky, John Sizzle, Miss Odd Kidd, Jon Delano and Lucious Flajore. In typical SOS fashion, the night attracted a complete mixture of East End club kids, music loves, fashion freaks and messy drag! For full details about SOS, including videos and Soundcloud music mixes and details of the next party on 19 May, go to www.sosnow. co.uk – while you can check out Shed Radio at www.shedradio.com
