FALL SOCCER Age 4-Grade 9 {as of 9/1/12}

Give your child the opportunity to experience the world’s most popular sport! Participants will learn and improve their soccer skills and share in the fun and camaraderie at the heart of youth sports in this program. Starting the week of 9/3, teams practice once/week (weather permitting) on a day, time, and location determined by the coach. Games are on Saturdays beginning 9/8. If rainouts occur, games will be rescheduled for 10/27 or weekdays. All players will receive a call from their coach between 8/25-8/30. If you have not received a call by 8/30, call (630) 620-7322 immediately. Lombard Park District staff selects the teams and corresponding coaches using the Team Formation Guidelines (available at www.lombardparks.com). For more information, please consult the Parents Manual available online. Volunteer coaches are encouraged to apply ASAP to secure a team for the season. Required items: LPD Jersey (games only); shin guards, water bottle. (7 games)

**Age levels will combine with the Glen Ellyn Park District and play some games at Ackerman Park in Glen Ellyn.


YOUTH T-BALL Ages 4-6

Youth T-Ball is a fun-filled instructional program that introduces basic baseball rules and sportsmanship along with teaching the necessary baseball fundamentals of base running, hitting and fielding to your little athlete. The program begins on June 11/12 with 2 weeks of instruction in a practice setting and on June 25/26 games begin. Games are one hour and will be played within the time range listed below. All participants will receive a T-shirt and hat prior to the start of games and there will be a Family Fun Night at the end of the season for all participants on 7/20. Fridays may be used for rainouts. The program is taught by Park District Staff, but parents are needed to help with the instruction, so volunteer today by calling (630) 620-7322. Please fill out a Youth Sports Info Form upon registering. Note: You will NOT receive a call from a coach. Please report to the field on the program’s first day. • 8/30: Any withdrawals from program are subject to $10 processing fee after this date


• 9/17: Final date to withdraw and receive a pro-rated refund. No refunds after this date

LITTLE KICKERS

Is your little soccer enthusiast not quite old enough for the Spring Youth Soccer League? Well, Little Kickers will allow them to experience the thrill of soccer! This class will focus primarily on age-appropriate games to help acclimate your young one to soccer and teach them the basics. A parent must be present for this activity because many of the activities will involve both the child and parent. All participants will receive a T-shirt. Class will be taught by experienced instructors. Required items: Comfortable clothes; water bottle; parent; soccer ball (optional). (4 weeks)
