Sunday 13th May: Open Afternoon at Camber Tennis Club 2-6pm. As part of the Dulwich Festival, Camber tennis club is having an open afternoon. Open to all, with fun coaching sessions available, and the opportunity to play a set or two of tennis with the members. And bring your cheque books as membership will be discounted for anyone joining on the day. Camber is a small club with 3 floodlit courts on the South Circular opposite the Harvester. Sunday 13th May: FREE Singaround
The Goose Is Out! hosts another of its popular Singarounds Upstairs At The Mag. All are welcome, whether to sing or to listen. It’s an informal and supportive atmosphere, so don’t worry if it’s your first time! Songs of any country or culture welcome. Starts 7.30pm, finishes whenever. More information from

Wednesday 16th May: Frockcycle brings upcycled fashion fun to Forest Hill Last month saw the launch of Frockcycle, events in which once-loved clothes can be upcycled into new, stylish outfits. Participants bring items to re-fashion or donate, and are provided with a roomful of old clothes and scraps for experimentation, expert guidance for ideas and techniques, and sewing equipment with which to make a start. Upcycling art gallery and restaurant, Canvas and Cream in Forest Hill……. 6.30pm-9.30pm.

Friday 18th May: Comedy Night Doors open at 7pm tickets are priced at £15 each. Drinks and food will also be available to buy. Tickets on sale at Village Books, Calton Avenue, Dulwich Village. A proportion of the profits to go to the Kingfisher Charity (raising money for children’s wards at King’s College Hospital). The Charter School, Red Post Hill, SE24 9JH.
Saturday 19th May: Trade Winds Choir 7.30pm. Trade Winds choir present an evening of Duke Ellington, The Beatles, Dave Brubeck and others, as well as songs from Nigeria, Sardinia, South Africa and Southern France. St Augutine’s church, One Tree Hill, Honor Oak Park SE23 3LE. £5 on the door as it is a fundraising event. There will be a French choir called L’Air de Rien singing with us and the money is partly to help with the costs of their visit.

Saturday 19 May: Wine Tasting Evening hosted by Anne Denny at 7.30pm in The Goose Green Centre. Tickets cost £12 – included cheese, biscuits and grapes and can be booked by sending a cheque made payable to St John’s PCC. Please give a contact name and telephone number/email address. The proceeds from the evening will go towards replacing St John’s nave copper roof.
