King King featuring alan nimmo Friday 8th June 8pm The Met, abertillery
King King’selectrifying sound and scorching live shows have generated more of athunderous roar than a buzz. Together the band has pushed boundaries to craft afresh, powerful new angle on blues rock which is as infectious as it is accomplished.
The driving force behind King King’s unstoppable charge isAlan Nimmo, a fleet-fingered front man imbued with almost impolite quantities of charisma and the talent to back it up.Widely known across theUKand Europe for his pivotal role with the award- winning Nimmo Brothers, his full- blooded style, technical brilliance and impassioned vocals are infectious and instantly recognisable. Accordingly, he surrounds himself with the hottest
talent currently working the scene and this cherry-picking approach means that King King representsamelting pot of skills and influences. The result is asound which is energetic, potent and irresistibly funky, branded with the stamp of aband intent on mapping out their own unique territory in blues.
