Gardiner L. Hutchinson, Jr. Gardiner L. Hutchinson, Jr., 66, of Salem died April 20, 2012, at
Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, with his family at his side. He was born in Cambridge, MA, grew up, and was educated in Burlington,
MA. He was a resident of Salem for the past 32 years, formerly of Woburn, MA.

Doris M. (Lynch) Guidry, 90, of Salem died April 21, 2012 at Salemhaven Nursing home, Salem. She was born in Lowell, MA, where she grew up and attended schools. She was a resident of Salem for the past 12 years, formerly of Lawrence, MA. Mrs. Guidry was a nurse’s aide for the Town Manor Nursing Home in Lawrence. She was very active at Salemhaven, where she was the past president of the Residents Council, and enjoyed arts and crafts and painting. She was very active in politics and helped several politicians with their campaigns. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford “The Chief” Guidry; and a son, Clifford “Bucko” Guidry. She is survived by her daughter, Vicky and her husband Richard
Savastano of Palm Bay, FL; sons, William Guidry of Methuen, MA, George Guidry of Danville, and Stephen Guidry of Gardner, MA; sister, Beatrice Plourde of Lawrence, MA; grandchildren, Tracy Antczak of Atkinson, and Nicole Terramagra of Danville; great- grandchildren, Nicolas, Olivia, Katherine, Joseph, and Christopher. A Funeral Service was held on April 26 at Douglas & Johnson

Robert T. Trout, Jr.
Robert T. Trout Jr., 77, of Salem died April 22, 2012 at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA. He was born in Malden, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem for the past 43 years. Mr. Trout was a carpenter for Harvard
University. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean War, and was a member of St. Matthew’s Church in Windham. Bob enjoyed golf, bowling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth (Rogers) Trout of Salem; sons, Michael Trout and Donna Gallo of Salem, Robert W. and his wife Patricia Trout of Fullerton, CA, and Edward and his wife Charlotte Trout of Danville; daughter, Peggy and her husband William Ziady of Tamarac, FL; brother, Eugene Trout of Wilmington, MA; sisters, Patricia Sullivan of Wilmington, and Donna Trout- Szydlowski of Bowdoinham, ME; 10 grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on April 25 at St. Matthew
Church, Windham, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.

James L. Johnson(1959 - 2008) Mr. Hutchinson was a self-employed advertising photographer. He also
worked for Recovery Solutions in Derry. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem. He was a self-taught finish carpenter. He enjoyed cooking, photography, and was a gun enthusiast. Most of all he loved being with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (O’Sullivan) Hutchinson. He is survived by his children, Julie and her husband George Finn of Salem, Christopher Hutchinson of Salem, Daniel Hutchinson and Jeanette Moyes of Derry, and Keith and his wife Jenn Hutchinson of Merrimack; mother, Rita (Cotone) Hutchinson of Salem; sister, Carole and her husband Tony Campano of Delaware; grandchildren, Austin, Chelsea, Cecilia, Daniel, Dan, Valenteena, Amber, Kaitlyn, Colette, and Michael; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was celebrated April 26 at St. Joseph Church, Salem. Burial

Transfer Station Operations, Loading and Hauling Contract And
Transfer Station Solid Waste Disposal Services Contract
The Town of Salem is accepting bids for two separate but related projects for management of solid wastes. Sealed Bids for each project will be received at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Town Hall, 33 Geremonty Drive, Salem, New Hampshire until 2:00pm on May 10, 2012, at which place and time said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids for the Salem, NH Transfer Station Operations, Loading and Hauling Contract to include work for the following:
• Loading solid waste at the Salem, NH Transfer Station and hauling the waste to a properly licensed disposal facility to be designated
• Loading single stream recyclables at the Salem, NH Transfer Station and hauling and disposal of recyclables at a properly licensed com- mercial recycling facility.
• Loading Construction/Demolition (C/D) debris at the Salem, NH Transfer Station and hauling and disposal of the debris to a properly licensed disposal facility.
• Loading bulky metals at an on-site location remote from the transfer station and hauling and disposal of the material at a properly licensed commercial recycling facility.
• Loading recyclable electronics and other special wastes at the Salem, NH Transfer Station and hauling and disposal of the materials to a properly licensed disposal facility
Bids for the Salem, NH Transfer Station Solid Waste Disposal Services Contract to include work for the following:
• Dispose of municipal solid waste delivered to the bidder’s disposal facility, as authorized by the Town. The Town of Salem generates ap- proximately 10,000 tons of solid waste annually.
The two contracts are expected to begin July 2, 2012 and run concurrently. Proposers may bid on both contracts, but are not required to do so. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified treasurer’s or cashier’s check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the Bid Price. Documents may be reviewed and obtained at Town Hall, 33 Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH 03079, and may be viewed at Associated General Contractors, 48 Grandview Road Bow, NH 03304 or at Construction Summary of NH, Inc. 734 Chestnut Street, Manchester, NH, 03104. To obtain Contract Documents, a $15 non-refundable deposit is required for each RFP. Cash will not be accepted. For the Salem, NH Transfer Station Operations, Loading and Hauling contract, the successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance Bond and 100 percent Payment Bond. No bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of 180 calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 3, 2012 at the Salem Municipal Office Building Town Hall to discuss the bid followed by a site visit then to allow prospective bidders to view the existing transfer station operation. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting. Representatives of the Owner will be present to discuss the Project. Owner will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda, as Owner considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements made at the pre-bid conference may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, should the Town deem it to be in the best interest of the Town of Salem.
