Tell Me a Story with Rusty Brown 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3 Join us for a special


puppet show presented by storyteller Rusty Brown. "Gramma Maggie" will introduce her new friends: a lion with a fuzzy mane, a chimp who can't stop talking, a sly alligator and a very smart mouse. This program is for the whole family, and lasts about 30 minutes. It features stories and other participatory activities to encourage reading and promote literacy. Registration requested.

Celebrate Children's Book Week with Maisy! 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10 Beloved storybook character Maisy will make a special visit! Children will be able to meet Maisy


and take a photo with her. Celebrate Children's Book Week during this featured event. This program is for the whole family, and lasts about 30 minutes. It features stories, songs and other participatory activities to encourage reading and promote literacy. Registration requested.

Paper Books & Paper Beads 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 Celebrate Mother's Day with wonderful stories and a fun


craft. Use recycled paper to make paper beads for a necklace for your mother.


Bored Room Bonanza 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 & Thursday, May 24 School's OUT and Summer is HERE! It's the perfect time to help clean out the craft closet at the Pine Island Library. All left over craft supplies will be available. Let your imagination rule!

Storytime is a library program of picture book sharing, fi ngerplays, songs and other fun activities. Storytime helps children increase listening and group cooperative skills while they hear wonderful stories for their age group. Group size is limited for most storytimes. Storytime options include:


Baby-Parent Rhyme Time (Birth to 24 months with an Adult) Baby-Parent Rhyme Time features baby action rhymes for parent and baby. Rhyme Time lasts about 20 minutes.


Family Storytime (Children & Adults) This program is for the whole family and it lasts about 30 minutes.
