SUMMER READING PROGRAMS
The Lee County Library System encourages Kids & Teens to participate in another summer of fun-fi lled reading and exciting activities. The annual summer reading programs run from June 4 through July 28. Schedules of Events will be available in early June at all library locations. Summer Reading Programs are part of the statewide Florida Library Youth Program. The following programs will be held:
For infants to preschool: Read-to-Me encourages parents to read to their babies and to preschoolers.
For elementary age children up to 5th grade: Dream Big, READ Summer Reading Team (SRT) promotes continuous reading during the summer. SRT events, such as puppet shows, animal shows, and more, are free for children ages 6 and older, but tickets are required. Tickets for each event can be picked up at the host library as scheduled.
For teens in middle & high school: Read It! Watch It! Win It! introduces teens to a host of recreational and education opportunities and involves

All Lee County Library System programs are free and open to the public. A sign language interpreter is available with 48 hours notice. Call the Deaf Service Center at 461-0334 (voice) or 461- 0438 (TTY). Assistive listening devices are available. Lee County Library System also offers free access to books, DVDs, videos, books-on-tape, electronic resources and other items from a vast collection. The Lee County Library System makes it possible for people who ordinarily couldn’t visit the library to enjoy reading through the Bookmobile, Books-By- Mail, Talking Books and Literacy programs.
