Dan joined Woodsville Fire in 2004, he was consistently engaged in training, and He accomplished training in level 1 and level 2 firefighting, rapid intervention training and was an established pump operator. A gentle, Godly, and hard-work- ing man, Herb was a man of few words, but great in wisdom which was oft’ seasoned by his dry wit and New England humor.
He was born in Woodsville, NH, August 28, 1937, a son of Cyrena (Jolin) Getchell and Claude L. Gadwah, Sr., he attended schools in Woodsville and started work at an early age on local farms and delivered milk for the former Hastings Dairy of Woodsville. For forty seven years he worked at the former Newman Lumber Company and continued work at the company following its sale to the Davidson Company.
In his semi-retired years, he worked for the Woodsville Fire District Highway Dept. He took pride in his work at keeping the parks and playgrounds grass mowed during the summer and sidewalks clean and clear of snow and ice in the winter. Gene retired from this work in

to take personal credit for that which he knew God, and God alone, did through him as a will- ing vessel.
He loved working the land, working with animals and always appreciated others whom shared these same pas- sions.
He would not have wanted any- thing written of his life’s achievements or accomplish- ments fearing in a holy manner
Evelyn (Morrison) Marsh Charon, 82 years, passed away April 15, 2012 at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Grant's Pass, Oregon. She was born April 20, 1929 in Warren, NH.
Her early years were spent in Warren, NH.
Warren Village School and was in the 8th grade class of 1943. She graduated high school at North Stratford, NH and gradu- ated from Plymouth Normal School. She taught school in New Hampshire, California and New York.

She was a member of the Warren Historical Society and the Pythian Sisters. She was an avid reader, a ready cook and enjoyed creating flower gar- dens.
She was predeceased by her husbands; William (Jim) Marsh and Stadel Charon.
She is survived by one daugh- ter Carol J. Marsh of Grant's Pass, Oregon. There will be no funeral services at Mrs. Charon's request.

Herb loved, reverently feared, and always attempted to honor God through love…for his wife, family, friends, and people in general. He always tried to see the God-potential in individuals through the eyes of the Lord Jesus, the Christ. His church family was especially near to his heart, and he loved music which exalted his Lord.
Herb died at Cottage Hospital on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. He leaves a rich heritage which is beyond earthly measure to his

Gene was well known for his love of hunting, fishing, and tar- get shooting, and over the years earned many trophies for his marksmanship.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Diana (Arsenault) Gadwah on July 13, 2003 and his parents, Cyrena and Claude.
Survivors include his wife Gail, (Bedell), a son, Gene H.
