Bodhi Spiritual Center Relocates T
he Bodhi Spiritual Center has transformed a 130-year-old church into its new home
at 2746 North Magnolia, in Chicago. In the spirit of New Thought teachings that empower personal transformation, the move provides a permanent space to support fun, inspiring and
music-filled Sunday services and the many self-transformational classes and work- shops it offers to members and the community. The transformation of the church also supports green principles and operations
by repurposing the building while maintaining the spiritual foundation on which it was built. The new home is the culmination of Bodhi’s own transformation, having first opened its doors in 2004 to 20 people and now serving more than 500 in an open, dynamic and supportive community. The Bodhi Spiritual Center has a transdenominational philosophy that is a merg-

Chicago NA to be Featured on The Zen Mommies Radio Show

mart Gardener Backyard (SGB) is a new service for people that want to create their
own farm market in their backyard. Specialists evaluate a home or office site with you to pick the right location for a garden, even if it is small or shaded.
Individual preferences for vegetables, herbs and fruit are incorporated to create
a fully customized garden plan. SGB then constructs raised beds and fills them with a custom soil blend, preparing the perfect conditions for a successful garden. They continue to do all the planting, weed and pest control, crop rotation, companion planting and more, all for the cost of weekly lawn care.
SmartGardener.com is a new website that offers detailed growing information
about hundreds of plant choices, customizable tools to plan, plant and manage a garden. It can be shared with social media friends, and customers may keep detailed notes and pictures in an online Garden Journal. A news section scours the Web for information about backyard gardening and resources to answer questions about pests or growing conditions.
