Two charged after stabbing

woman was hospitalised after a stabbing in Borehamwood earlier this month.


Police were called to Buckingham Road,


Borehamwood, at 12.35pm on April 14, following reports that the woman had been stabbed after a dispute with a man and woman. The couple fled the scene in a car and the


injured woman was taken to Barnet Hospital. The woman was discharged shortly after receiving treatment for her injuries which were not serious. The police helicopter was called to the scene to


help officers on the ground search for the couple. Police currently believe that this was not a


random attack and investigations are ongoing. Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has


any information about it is asked to contact DS Jason Keane on the non-emergency number 101. Meanwhile a concerned Borehamwood resident


has contacted My Borehamwood & Elstree News to say she believes a number of similar incidents have taken place in the town recently.


The incident took place in Buckingham Road. She said: ―It‘s really not very nice. When you


go out, you never think that something like this is going to happen. ―If the police see a group of three or four boys,


they immediately try and split them up. Kids shouldn‘t be mucking around with knives. ―The police are trying hard but I can‘t see that


there‘s a lot they can do about this. ―But parents are also responsible. If they can‘t


look after their kids, there‘s no need to kick them out on the street until the early hours.‖ ● Police have charged two people following the


incident. A 44-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were both charged with grievous bodily harm, wounding with intent. They were due to appear in court as My
