streak. He scored the Tigers’ first run and he knocked in the second run with a sacrifice fly. “I’m relaxed at the plate; seeing the ball well,” Rimer said. “I’m in a good groove right now. I started out slow but I’m feeling pretty comfortable up there now.”

Great atmosphere

Both coaches were grateful for their squads to get a chance to play in a big-league facility, the Cactus League home of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds. “This was a chance for our guys to play in the type of stadium that other teams will be playing in in the playoffs,” Celis said. “The atmosphere was amazing, Caraveo said. “We got here a little early and I got a chance to soak it all in, then I got focused on the game.”

“This is a great opportunity for our guys to play in this stadium,” Jacobs said.

Millennium will close out the regular season by hosting Glendale Independence at 4 p.m. today and traveling to Surprise Valley Vista, which is ranked 13th, for a 4 p.m. game Wednesday. Westview was scheduled to host Independence Monday in a make-up game. The result was unavailable at press time. The Knights will conclude the season by hosting Peoria Centennial at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
