Perfect Place looks for perfect companions
The Perfect Place, a day-care service
for seniors, is looking for entertainers to share their time and talent with these community members. Called “joy makers,” the group’s
entertainers range from musicians to clowns.
One of these funny people is Gail Jones, who has been a regular holiday entertainer at The Perfect Place for four years.
“The feeling of satisfaction just
knowing we helped make the day a little brighter for someone is very rewarding,” she says. The Perfect Place is at Risen Savior
Lutheran Church, 23914 S. Alma School Rd., Chandler. For information on adult service, caregiver respite, volunteering or entertaining, call 480-895-6782, and press option #3, or email

Free event helps protect children It’s something that no parent ever wants to think about: a missing child. But there
is something that can be done, now, to prepare for the worst. If a child is missing, parents greatly increase their chance of quickly recovering their child if they immediately provide fingerprints, a DNA sample, a color photograph and current statistical information to law enforcement. It’s not as difficult as it sounds, thanks to programs like DNA LifePrint and The John
Walsh Child Safety Program. Both of these programs will be highlighted at a free Child Safety Day, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., April 28, at TruWest Credit Union, 207 E. Williams Field Rd., #105, Gilbert. The event will equip parents with all vital tools, including free FBI-certified biometric
fingerprints, a free digital photograph, and a free DNA identification kit, as well as a free Child Safety Journal that provides law enforcement with the vital information about your child that they will need immediately after a child is reported missing. For more information about this event, contact Christina Duggan at 602-207-3586.
