Show promises horses, hounds and much more E
very year the Hertfordshire County Show gets bigger and better and the plan for 2012
is no different. With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration
being held over the same weekend and the London Olympics just a few weeks later, both themes are being incorporated into the event. This year’s show — the 126th to take place —
will take place on Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, at Redbourn Showground. It will include Europe’s number one stunt and trick riding team and the Devil’s Horseman and a Chariots of Fire display. New for this year is the action-packed
Mounted Games equestrian display with five teams striving for a prestigious gold medal. The Horticultural Marquee, Hertfordshire
Food and Farming Marquee, Autorama sites and shopping marquees will offer shoppers unusual items and top quality bargains. There will also be freshly cooked, home-grown
produce on sale. The show is offering a 20% discount for
advance tickets with no booking fee and free parking. Show secretary Mike Harman said: ―Although
the Hertfordshire County Show is already widely acknowledged as the best value for money community event in the county, we are determined to extend our growing reputation in 2012. We strongly believe that the 2012 family advance ticket offers exceptional credit crunch- beating value.‖ Gates open at 8.30am. Advance day tickets
cost £12.80 (adult), £31.60 (family), £11.20 (senior), £6 (children over five). Advance ticket hotline: 0844 850 2122. Visitors can book online (with no booking or postage fee), at
www.hertsshow.com.
