Classic tale brought to the stage A group of Croxley children brought a tale as old as time to the area last month in the form of a new musical production. Beauty and the Beast, one of Disney’s most popular musicals, was brought to life by P’zazz performing arts at The James Theatre on March 24. A group of five to 14 year olds took to the stage with their interpretation of the classic tale in a day full of song and entertainment. Croxley-based P’zazz runs performing arts clubs for over 1000 children each week across the UK in primary schools. Managing Director Esther Boughton offered readers ofMy Croxley News free drinks during the show’s interval.

Sign up for fun run A team of local workmates has signed up for Watford Round Table’s charity fun run. Staff from National Lottery operator Camelot, based in Watford Business Park, have been training in Ebury Way in preparation for the Watford 10k. Camelot is the gold sponsor for Watford’s premier annual fun run. Run jointly by Watford Round Table and Watford Mencap, the event takes place in Cassiobury Park on Monday, May 7, and hopes to attract 1,500 runners and many more spectators. The money raised from the event is split equally between Watford Round Table and Watford Mencap, though the latter’s share will go directly to the Children’s Centre. For more information about the event visit www.watford10k.org.uk.
