doubly rewarded. Gemma, Ben, Lucy, David and James all follow family
tradition by loving the river.
Today the workshop at the rear of the house thrives with grandson Ben working a great deal here, following training by Peter. Ben’s enthusiasm extends to even living on a Hampton canal barge called Big Love!
John, the Heath’s younger son is a naval architect, doing survey work and designing boats for films including a wonderful steam boat used in Anna and The King starring Jodie Foster.
Clearly both house and business will stay in the family. But not, God willing, before Ella and Peter have sailed a few more boats and celebrated yet more happy wedding anniversaries in Hampton.
