Christian people would anchor their values in the


Bible and Christian tradition – but they can share them (hold them in common) with other people.


•Christians would place greater weight on some of the commonly held values more than others. For example forgiveness is central to the Christian faith; many people might praise forgiveness in others, but struggle to forgive in their own lives. In our school, our anti-bullying policy includes the aspect of forgiveness.


Our application is quite clear that our school is a school for everyone and is not set up to teach just Christians, nor make children Christians. Creationism will not be taught within the science curriculum, but of course within RE children will think about what it might mean to say that God created the world. RE will introduce children to the other major World Faiths.
