PRODUCT INNOVATIONS Style and function combined
As we approach beer-garden season,Warings Furniture is offering an on-trend but low maintenance solution for exterior chairs and tables for the hospitality industry.Warings Furniture’s Erik range appeals to the design conscious, based on the popular slatted seat and back chair design, but is made from a practical mock-teak acrylic. This acrylic alternative is much less hassle for the owner, requiring little to no maintenance, and will withstand the wear and tear of a busy summer season come rain or shine. Graham Waring director atWarings says: “Dark woods, like teak, are a fashionable choice for outdoor furniture, but require a high level of maintenance, needing regular sanding and oiling. We have created exterior dining that gives you the best of both worlds.” The classically designed Erik chairs and tables function well in all outdoor dining scenarios, beer gardens and patios whilst maintaining a stylish look. The chairs are also stackable for easy storage and rearranging with the changing seasons. For more information visit

The furniture designedwith this novel technology, will offer awooden outer image andwill have different touch sensitive areas that allowthe user to control all sorts of electric appliances, simply by touching over thewooden surface. TOUCHWOOD is a concept breaking idea supported by two important furnituremanufacturers NUEVA LINEAandGRUMAL, an electronic design and production company ELSON and a companywith great expertise in lighting EKOLEDS. the sun’s energy today AET has launched the Camel Solar Vacuum(CSV), a high efficiency evacuated-tube solar thermal collector to harvest energy fromthe sun for commercial hotwater and space heating applications. Using state-of-the-art technology, the CSV has been developed to absorb over 92 percent of the sun’s energy landing on the collector. Thismakes it one of themost efficient solar collectors on themarketwith a stagnation temperature of 250oC and one of themost economicalways to generate renewable energy. The advantage of the CSV over other types of solar collector is that the unit’s evacuated tubes enable the collector towork effectively even during the coldestwintermonths. Depending on themodel, a collector is comprised of either 10 or 15 high-efficiency, double-walled evacuated glass tubes, each containing a heat absorbing plate. The vacuumbetween the tube’s twin walls helps reduce both convection and conduction heat losses fromthe absorber to improve the collector’s efficiency. This efficiency is further enhanced by a high efficiency, selective coating applied to the outerwall of the inner glass tube, which helps increase the amount of heat absorbed by the unit. Each evacuated glass tube surrounds an aluminiumabsorber plate. The plate is finishedwith a special coating developed to absorb infrared radiation tomaximise the solar energy harvested. The absorber plate is ultrasonicallywelded to a patented U-type copper pipe, which contains the heat transfer fluid. This pipe is attached to the collector’s 22mmdiameter supply and returnmanifolds.Heat fromthe evacuated tube is circulated from the supplymanifold by the transfer fluid to its point of use in a building and then back to the returnmanifold. Tominimise heat losses fromthe unit, the manifolds are insulated using high density Rockwool insulation covered by an anodised aluminiumcasing to protect it fromthe elements. Because solar thermal technology is simple and reliablewithminimalmaintenance, the CSV is an ideal heating technology for awide variety of commercial applications, particularly businesses that use a high volume of hotwater such as hospitals, hotels, breweries and swimming pools.
