Cosentino showcases newsurfaces
Cosentino exhibited its revolutionary Silestone, ECO and Sensa worksurfaces at the Surface Design Show in February, along with the new Silestone Integrity DUE Sinks. Made from over 90 percent natural quartz crystals, Silestone by Cosentino worksurfaces has nearly four to five times the flexible strength of granite and a high resistance to scratch, stain and heat. Extremely hygienic, Silestone is available in over 60 distinctive through-body colours with a shade and consistency that is not found in natural stone. Available in an array of beautiful colours, the stunning ECO range of worktops are composed of 75 percent recycled materials, including mirrors and glass. ECO is also extremely durable with a high scratch, stain and scorch resistance. Benefiting from an innovative treatment, which gives greater protection against stains, Sensa worksurfaces can withstand very high temperatures, as well as being water and oil resistant. The perfect Synergii
Premium panel products distributor, James Latham has strengthened its worktop portfolio with the addition of Synergii laminate work surfaces. The arrival of the Synergii range, which is manufactured by Wilsonart, one of Europe’s largest worksurface manufacturers, means that for the first time, Lathams can now offer kitchen, bedroom and bathroom specialists a premium High Pressure Laminate (HPL)
worktop.Manufactured using Aeon Technology, Synergii delivers four to five times the wear resistance of a standard laminate, creating a surface that looks better for longer, making it the perfect solution for kitchen environments. In addition, the stunning combination of gloss and texture means there’s no compromising style for performance. Latham’s product champion, PaulMorson says: “This is our first serious venture into HPL worktops and the quality and
design ofWilsonart’s Synergii range made it the natural choice for us. Synergii offers a number of significant features including heat and impact resistance, protection against stains and marks, plus it’s made using moisture resistant bonding adhesive as well as being sealed on the back edge for additional moisture resistance. In addition to that, it has resin impregnated backing paper to protect from moisture and prevent warping.” The Synergii range, which includes 24 decors in 38mm thickness and six in 28mm, is also available in a 4.1m option and there are three widths, 600mm, 650mm and 900mm for breakfast bars, plus all have matching splash backs and up-stands. The full Synergii range is available directly from stock, either for collection or delivery, at Latham’s nine UK-wide depots, including Scotland. For more information telephone 0116 257 3415, email
