In autumn 2011 the charity welcomed a new member to its fundraising family!
Meet Maac – our charity mascot. Maac is our latest arrival and this adorable life sized pup has proved to be a huge hit! With a social diary to rival any A list celebrity, the paparazzi were hot on his tail and have snapped him helping out at events across the region!
Maac @ Telford FC
Telford FC hosted a charity day and Maac went along to meet supporters! He even had time for a kick about with their mascot before the match started! The day raised a fantastic £324.21!
Maac @ Tesco Telford
Duke of Edinburgh volunteers spent three days bucket collecting in Telford and Maac made a celebrity appearance at the store! Their efforts raised an incredible £1540.52
Maac @ Ludlow Medieval Fayre
Never one to miss a party, Maac was snapped at Ludlow’s medieval bash. He helped Ludlow fi re station and Ludlow Rotary club to collect donations in aid of MAA and the event raised over £2000 for the charity!
Maac @ Cannock Chase
Nothing says Christmas like a real tree and Maac couldn’t resist going along to Birches Valley Centre, at the heart of Cannock Chase. The charity helped out each weekend in December and raised an amazing £3,000!
Maac @ Shrewsbury FC
A keen football fan, Maac has also been spotted at Shrewsbury FC. The football club hosted a charity match day and Maac went along to watch the game and helped to raise £780!
…School visits are his favourite!
Maac loves nothing better than visiting schools and teaching kids all about the vital work his friends do. Maac loves surprising pupils and spreading the word!
