DANCE CLASSES
A variety of classes are offered for all ages and abilities to improve coordination and promote a positive outlook of dance.
PRE-SCHOOL DANCE- Hop, Skip, Plie, and turn—ages 3-4 will learn ballet and dance basics while working on coordination and flexibility and having fun with creative movement. Students will need leather-soled ballet shoes, tights and leotard. Skirts are okay. Instructor: Amy Andreen
BALLET I - Ages 5-10 will learn basic contemporary ballet techniques, posture, and range of movement. Leotards, tights, and leather-soled shoes required. Skirts are okay. NO WEDNESDAY CLASS JULY 4TH. Instructor: Buffy Murinko
FAMILY DANCE NIGHT– Bring the whole family and try out several different forms of dance from Contras and Square Dancing to International Folk Dancing, Line Dancing and even some Country Western and Ballroom. There will be dances for all ages and abilities. Instructor: Lori Spearman

PRE-SCHOOLERS IN THE PARK!- Are you looking for something fun to do with your preschooler this summer? Join us for 7 fun-filled mornings in Highland Park. Centered around a new story each week, parents and kids will work on fun crafts and play active games together. Class is for ages 2 - 4 year olds and parent or guardian.
BABYSITTING CLINIC– This course for ages 11 to 13 interested in babysitting outside of the home emphasizes the physical safety and security of the child and teaches important needs such as friendship, understanding, and patience. Students receive a notebook with first
aid information, resource guide, handouts, and make their own babysitting bag to use on their jobs. Bring a sack lunch. Instructor: Dena Colgrove
YOUTH ART – Brandon will help bring out your creative side and introduce you to drawing, painting with acrylics, and experimenting with other media. All supplies furnished. Youth class for 7-14. Instructor: Brandon Bassett
FUN WITH MUD! (Play With Clay) Brandon welcomes you to learn the art of ceramics from basic hand building sculptural and functional pottery to wheel thrown pottery and glazing. For ages 7-14. All supplies furnished and FIRING IS FREE!
JOURNAL COLLAGE, BROWN BAG ART Join us as we learn to relax and play through the art medium of collage. Anyone can do it, regardless of skill
level. Collage is an artistic composition of materials and objects pasted over a surface, often unifying lines and color. Create a journal the first class to keep your future collage projects in. We will be using ordinary materials such as magazines, photos, fabric and other found objects. Class is for ages 15 & over. Instructor: Jody Halferty. No class July 23.
