PLEASE NOTE:
A Recreation Center Pass is required for equipment check-out at the Casper Recreation Center and for drop-in access to all areas of the facility. Participants in classes or leagues are also required to have a pass if they desire to use the steam room, showers, or fitness equipment. A Recreation Center Pass must be presented, or a daily admission fee paid, each time a participant uses the Recreation Center for drop-in use.
EXPANDED FITNESS AREA
We offer an expanded fitness area for the comfort and convenience of all patrons. Cardio rooms feature elliptical trainers, treadmills, stair-stepping machines, a Technogym Crossover, upright and recumbent bikes, workout mat areas, and more. An Expresso Bike, which motivates users through video-game type interactions, is in place for a fabulous, fun workout. Participants must be at least 13 years of age. Ages 12-13 may use the fitness room under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.
WEIGHT ROOM
A variety of equipment is available in the weight room, including numerous selectorized plate weight machines, dumbbells, multi- purpose Smith machine with free weights, and additional machines and benches to work all major muscle groups in the body. Participants must be at least 15 years of age. Ages 13-14 may use the weight room under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.
LOCKER ROOMS AND TOWELS
The locker rooms include lockers, restrooms, showers, and a steam room. Coin operated lockers are $.25 per use. Lockers are also available for an annual rental (full-size locker $50.00; half-size $40.00). Please see our receptionist for rental information. Persons using the steam rooms must be at least 13 years old or accompanied by an adult. Towel rentals are available at the reception counter for $1.00 per towel (one free towel rental per visit is included for Recreation or Aquatic Center Pass holders. A Towel Punch Pass may be purchased for $.50 per towel, minimum of 10 punches must be purchased).
INDOOR PARK – PLAY AREA No place to play on a rainy, cold, or windy day? The Indoor Park offers children a safe, indoor play area. The park is open during normal operating hours except during a private rental. Membership or daily admission fees apply. Children must
be accompanied by an adult. The area is available to rent for a birthday party or get together. Please call for availability.
2012 CRAFT FESTIVAL Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17

Join us for the bigger and better annual Craft Festival, November 16 & 17 at the Casper Events Center. The festival will run from 2:00-8:00 pm on Friday and from 9:00 am-4:00 pm on Saturday. Reserve your booth now at the Recreation Center reception counter or put it on your calendar to attend in November. Booth Rental fee is $75 for homemade crafts and $100 for commercial items which includes a 10’ x 10’ space with one table and two chairs. The Craft Festival benefits the Community Recreation Foundation in providing scholarships for recreational activities for youth and senior citizens.
All recreation facilities will be closed on May 28, July 4, and September 3.
Casper Recreation Center will be closed August 19-26 for annual maintenance.

RACQUETBALL & WALLYBALL COURT
There is one racquetball or wallyball court available to the public during normal operating hours. A Recreation Center Pass or daily admission is required for access to the court. Racquets and wallyballs are available at no extra charge. Eye protection is strongly recommended when playing racquetball but is not provided.
COURT RESERVATION RULES
1. Court may be reserved on the hour or half hour for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
2.
Reservations may be made no more than seven days in advance during normal operating hours.
3. Court time that is reserved and not able to be used must be cancelled at least one hour prior to reservation. Failure to cancel or show up for a reservation two times will result of in loss of court reservation privileges for one month.
4. Courts may be used on a drop-in basis when they are not reserved.
GAME ROOM
Play air hockey, pool, table tennis, or enjoy the big screen TV. Equipment or table games may be checked out with a Recrea- tion Center Pass or $3.50 daily use fee at the reception counter. Individuals must be at least 8 years of age to play pool. Featuring two youth Expresso bikes—Try to out-pedal your friends or challenge one of the exciting courses on these interactive video-gaming fitness bikes!
VOLLEYBALL
The gym will be open for drop-in volleyball at the following times*: Saturdays, 3:00 - 6:00 pm Sundays, 4:00 - 6:00 pm Volleyballs available for check-out at the Front Desk.
Admission is a Recreation Center Pass or $3.50 daily use fee. *Drop-in volleyball will not be held during special events/private rentals.
NOON HOOPS
Stop by the Rec Center for pickup hoops. Basketballs available for check-out at the Front Desk. Admission is a Rec Center Pass or $3.50 daily use fee. 11:30 am - 1:30 pm Monday through Friday.
POTTERY PAINTING PARTIES
Looking for a great birthday party or gathering option? Get creative with a Pottery Painting Party at the Casper Recreation Center! Participants select a pre-fired bisque pottery item and paint their pieces as they wish. Parties include bisque pieces, painting supplies, craft instructor (for first hour of party), and use of a craft room for a two hour period… Paint, then party! Pottery will be fired after the party and may be picked up by participants at a later date. Party price is $100 for up to 8 painters and $10 for each additional painter. Reservations for Pottery Painting Parties must be made at least seven days in advance by contacting the Recreation Division at 235-8403.
