Just a quick note to let you know the turtles are starting to move already ( a little early this year because of the weather)
Watch for them crossing streets, and if you see a turtle in the road please pull over, put your hazards on and get that turtle across in the way it was going.
DO NOT TURN THEM AROUND. They will try to cross again. These turtles know where they are going and you just want to help them cross the street, not stop the journey they are on.
ALSO DO NOT RELOCATE THE TURTLE TO A BETTER AREA... this is very important. TURTLES ARE HOME-RANGE
DEPENDENT, this means if you relocate them, they will try to get back to where they originally were, and may die in the process.
If you find an injured turtle, please put it in a card board box ( NO WATER), and take it to TUFTS WILD LIFE ( IT IS FREE) AT:
