“I started my initial weight loss journey with SomaNu in September 2011. Since then I have lost 25lbs(fat) and cut my medications in 1/2, I now have more energy and I am a happier person. I have since then incorporated Zerona treatments to my weight loss program and I have lost 24 inches in 12 treatments. Public invited to Healthy Kids Day at Alpharetta YMCA
The Ed Isakson Alpharetta YMCA will host Healthy Kids Day on April 28 with a variety of activities promoting a healthy lifestyle for kids and parents. Beginning at 10 a.m., the event will be held indoors and outdoors, and is open to the community at large, including non-members of the facility. The activities will last until 2 p.m., and include rock climbing, XBOX Kinnect, exercise classes, arts and crafts, hula hoops and other events designed to keep kids moving.
In preparation for the Healthy Kids Day, a vegetable and herbal garden will be built by the Alpharetta Community Garden team on April 7. It will then be dedicated during the event on April 28. “The garden will be donated to the YMCA
to honor Healthy Kids Day and will be maintained by the YMCA staff and volunteers,” said Charmaine Jackson of Clear Progress
Consulting,
coordinating the project. The purpose of the community garden is two-fold, she said: to provide food and health/wellness education for Y members, and to provide vegetable donations to local charities.
