APRIL 11, ,2012 Highlights from GPC public safety reports

Tis is bull manure - Part 1 At Decatur campus on February 13, a

female student was reported to GPC police by her teacher for disruptive behaviors such as “talking during class and yelling out the wrong answers.”

Te student was told by police that she

wouldn’t be able to return to class until hearing from the Dean of Students. Te student ignored police and tried to

reenter the classroom, but was blocked by police. Te officers asked if they could search her bag and pockets to which the student replied, “I don’t care this is some bullshit.” Finally, the student picked up her phone

and called her mom saying, “Get the bail money, ‘cause I’m going to jail. Te police are out here fucking with me on some bullshit complaint from a teacher.”

another one of her classes by GPC police on March 16. After trying to assist the student, the

teacher reported that the student said, “thanks for nothing,” to which the teacher replied, “you’re welcome.” As the teacher walked away the student said under her breath that, “this is bullshit.” Te teacher said she felt “uncomfortable and unsafe” with this student in her classroom.

Playground antics

One female student from Decatur went to the public safety office on April 4 to report that she was being harassed by a fellow female classmate. Te female classmate blamed the female student for almost causing her to get kicked out of school. According to the female student, her

classmate threatened her by saying, “If this was high school, I would beat your ass.” Te classmate denied the accusations, but

was advised no to have any contact with the student.
