Spirituality Women reflect, mingle at ‘Blanca’ Music, dancing and multimedia
presentations kick off “Blanca,” the Mosaic Women’s Conference 2012, held for the 14th year at Desert Springs Church Thu., April 26 through Sat., April 28. During the conference, attendees will learn new things about God and other people. Thursday evening offers fun, food,
activities and a chance to mingle with others. After a light breakfast on Friday, the

Film explores women, media
“Miss Representation,” a documentary film
by Jennifer Siebel Newson looking at “how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence,” will be shown at 7 p.m. Sat., April 14 at Gilbert’s Chalice Christian Church, 15303 S. Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood at 1 p.m. Thu., April 19. Polunsky will explore Arizona’s Jewish roots, including towns founded by emigrating Jewish
families. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Chapel Center of Sun Lakes Country Club One, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. at Riggs Road. Free Hebrew reading course
Jewish members of the East Valley
community are invited to learn to read Hebrew at Chabad of the East Valley’s free five-week Hebrew Reading Crash Course, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tue., April 17.
